We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Reddy Architecture + Urbanism and Brady Shipman Martin on the Kyrie Therapeutic Farm project. This initiative aims to create a healing environment that combines nature, community, and therapy, providing a flexible and inclusive space for individuals to reconnect with nature and themselves.
Utilising Unreal Engine, we developed a high-quality visual experience that situates the farm within its actual landscape, integrating natural surroundings to offer an authentic sense of place. This technology enabled us to produce realistic, immersive visuals efficiently, capturing the project's essence and its true ecosystem with precision and detail.
The design features diverse zones of activity, including communal spaces, semi-private areas, and secluded spots for solitude. Inspired by regenerative principles, the farm is rich in biodiversity, incorporating native hedgerows, multi-functional planting, and designated grassland areas that nurture both people and pollinators. Following Dark Skies Ireland guidelines, the lighting plan reduces light pollution while enhancing nighttime safety and ambience, preserving the natural beauty and tranquillity of the landscape after dark.
Through elements like swift boxes, bat boxes, and pollinator-friendly planting, this project not only supports mental health but also champions local biodiversity. We’re excited to be part of this vision, creating a space where both people and nature can thrive in harmony.
