This part of the site, to be known as Spencer Place, has been targeted for a development extending to 66,599sq m (717,000sq ft). The four proposed buildings will include a 212-bed hotel, restaurant/retail units and 46,184sq m (500,000sq ft) of LEED platinum-rated office accommodation.

Visualisation created for planned offices at AIB Bankcentre

Visual Lab completed a series of 3D visuals for proposed offices at AIB Bankcentre. Irish property developer Johnny Ronan is to seek planning approval for the largest Dublin office development since the property crash.

Visual Lab collaborated with Architect Paul O’Brien of HJL who designed the six-storey blocks. "The plan was to create a visual interplay with the existing semi-mature trees on the site.

Vertical glazed fins and strong horizontal stone elements will serve to break the form of the structures and integrate the buildings further with the greenery of the site. This approach is intended to create a fluid appearance for the building, allowing it to reflect both the changing skies and foliage as the seasons come and go.”

3D Visuals created for Vertium building on Burlington Road

Visual Lab were delighted to be involved in creating the 3D animation for the Vertium building on Burlington Road in Dublin.

We created multiple visuals and animations for one of the first major central business district development since the recession.

The visualisation process took several months to complete and Visual Lab worked with architects to achieve...

The multi-level building will hold 2,000 office workers and is described by joint letting agents Savills and Knight Frank as a “statement office development dedicated to creating a bright, inviting and energy efficient workspace”.

The Vertium building is answering to the demands of the Government and the IDA to provide more quality office space that delivers to the highest international, Gold LEED standard.

The Dublin project is the result of a collaboration between several leading European property companies.

These include:

  • Ronan Group.

‘Vertium’ is due for completion in quarter two of 2017.

Albert Quay Nightshot

Major office development set for Albert Quay in Cork

CORK is getting a new six storey office block at Albert Quay in the city’s docklands region.

Construction on the €90 million development is set to begin this year and it’s proposed that it will be completed by the autumn on 2018.

Cork City Council have now given the green light for the plans which are being put forward by the Owen O’Callaghan owned O’Callaghan Properties.

In total, four different buildings will built on the 2.25 acre site bounded by Albert Quay to the north, Victoria Road, Albert Road and Albert Street.

The project has been designed by architects Henry J. Lyons and it’s estimated that the development will be capable of hosting some 3,000 people. The developers also say that the project will create 350 jobs during its construction.

It’s envisaged that the development will include roof terraces with restaurant units and staff facilities and developers are claiming that the office block will appeal to younger workers.

“The location is at the centre of public transport options and just a few minutes walk from the city centre,” O’Callaghan said.

That will certainly appeal to the young employee demographic characteristic of enterprises in the new economy.

The completed development will be named Navigation Square and is part of a number of developments by other companies in the area.

Including a double basement and a gross floor area of 32,000 sqm the new HQ is a very large development.
The form stays the same, but the facade treatment is very different.
A 7m projecting canopy at the rear will distinguish the new Central Bank HQ from surrounding buildings.
